Hey! Guess what! This little blogger will be debt free by...

The time I'm very old.  Very very old.  Like, 28.

Today I am getting a graduate loan sorted out to bung all my horrible credit cards and overdrafts on, which is nice.  I had hoped the bank had not realised I had graduated and thought I'd got away with it until I got a letter and had to go see them...

Bank Lady: So, Sgt. Peppers, you must have graduated now?
Peppers:  Um, well, yes, did I not tell you?
Bank Lady: What date was that?
Peppers:  July 12th *coughs* Um, yes July 12th, 2004.
Bank Lady: Oh, You're just in time to sort your graduate account then, the cut off is in two weeks.
Peppers: *quivering wreck* Please, lady, don't take my overdraft, take my family, take my home, take the cat, take my nice pen, but please, please, please, if you have any heart don't take my overdraft away!

Cue slightly baffled looks from Bank Lady while she explains that infact I'll be better off as I can get a graduate loan at a good rate, even if the fact that I have to commit to something until I am 28 is horrifying.  I'm so not grown up enough for this yet.
